2022 Questionnaire

Please share briefly what inspired you to run for this office and why you feel you’re qualified for the position.

Individual freedom and self-determination is under assault in this country like I have never seen before. I am a civil libertarian, and want to do whatever I can to ensure my children get to grow up in a country at least as free as the one I was blessed to grow up in.

What policies would you propose for dealing with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on our state’s economy?

The vast majority of violent gun crime is committed by people who do not possess the firearm legally, but only a very, very small portion of these are "ghost guns." Ghost guns require machining skills, time, and patience. Most firearm crimes are committed with illegally possessed, traditionally manufactured handguns. Anyone who is serious about reducing gun crime should look to fix this problem first (failure to enforce existing laws rather than a lack of new laws addressing a very small portion of the problem). Like "assault weapons," "ghost guns" are used in a very, very small percentage of gun crime.

Nevada has historically protected the right to abortion, including protecting the right in statute 30 years ago by a vote of the people. However, there remain barriers to access in the state. Do you support not only the right to abortion but policies that improve equitable access to abortion care?

Focus on early treatment with available therapeutics to reduce burden on hospitals. Allow doctors to practice patient-driven medicine with the full range of options available. Stop harming children by shuttering schools and forced masking. Remove mandates that burden economic activity and allow citizens to exercise medical autonomy for themselves and their children. There is more than enough information available for citizens to research and make their own decisions, but don't force mandates and restrictions based on "science" that widely perceived to be primarily driven by politics rather than public health. It merely diminishes public trust in our public health apparatus. As a consequence, an integral part of the COVID healing process will be to ensure accountability for all of the lies and massive, unnecessary human and economic cost imposed by political activists and the corrupt pharma cartels. Dr. Tony Fauci is the most prominent example of complete corruption, malpractice, and lack of any medical ethics.

The state of Nevada is facing an unprecedented shortage of health care providers – a problem that impacts every area of medicine, including the provision of sexual and reproductive care. Do you support removing the physician-only requirement and allowing advanced practice clinicians (APCs) to provide this vital care to patients with training and certification?

Yes! I have written on this topic: https://noah4nv.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/NATIONAL-SECURITY-ENERGY-INDEPENDENCE-AND-NEVADA-MINING-3_12_22.pdf

Comprehensive, age and developmentally appropriate, medically-accurate, inclusive sex education has been proven to improve students’ long-term health outcomes, yet it is not required that students be provided with this information in their sex-ed programs. Do you believe that public school sex-ed programs should be comprehensive, medically accurate, and inclusive?

I oppose killing babies by anyone. It is barbaric, Satanic, and poisons any society that tolerates it.

It is well documented that patients of color face greater obstacles to obtaining sexual and reproductive health care than non-Hispanic white Americans – a pattern that results in worse health outcomes overall for BIPOC patients. Do you not only acknowledge systemic racism’s role in public health disparities but will you pursue policies that seek to rectify the historical harm of systemic racism and advance equitable access to health care?

I believe sex education of minors is properly the role of parents. I don't believe that adult government employees should be teaching other people's minor children about sex unless requested by the parents. I would be okay with sex education for minors by adult government employees to the extent that such instruction is affirmatively requested by the parents only (an opt-in model).

Knowing that the death penalty is exorbitantly expensive, racially discriminatory, and does not promote true healing for victims family members, do you support its abolition and do you think ending the death penalty is a crucial part of criminal justice reform?

Systemic racism has played a major role in reproductive health disparities. For example, the notorious racist Margaret Sanger founded Planned Parenthood in an effort to exterminate what she viewed as inferior human beings. The legacy of that barbarism is still being felt today. According to the United States Census Bureau and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Abortion Surveillance Report, black women made up 15 percent of the childbearing population in 2018, yet obtained 33.6 percent of reported abortions. Black women have the highest abortion ratio in the country, with 335 abortions per 1,000 live births. Percentages at these levels illustrate that about 20 million black babies have been aborted since 1973. In Mississippi, 72 percent of abortions are obtained by black women; in Washington, D.C., 55 percent; in Michigan, 50 percent; in Alabama, 62 percent. In many states, similar numbers are found, with black women often aborting at two or more times their presence in the population. Keep in mind that the nation's (by far) largest abortion provider is funded by our tax dollars. Therefore, our government is continuing to fund a racial genocide with US tax dollars. This is an enormous curse and the continuation of the racist policies Democrats have championed for generations.

Anti-transgender bills are being introduced across the United States that attempt to trans prevent people from having access to health care, gender re-assignment surgery, and access to sports in schools. Do you support transgender equality and access to healthcare and an athletic school experience?

The federal government has executed only 23 people in the last 72 years (since 1950). I am comfortable with the retention of the death penalty for serious federal offenses such as treason by active-duty military officers, particularly when used so sparingly and only for the most heinous of crimes. In terms of state-level use of the death penalty, my position is that is an issue properly reserved to the state legislatures. The assertion that the death penalty does not "promote true healing for victims family members" is not universally acknowledged. For example, when Tim McVeigh, who was convicted of a bombing that killed 168 people, was executed, his execution was broadcast to about 300 victims'' family members.

Nevada has a significant undocumented population, how will you ensure your office is accessible to all Nevadans?

I believe we have an obligation to support the advancement of indigenous cultures and Tribal Nations all over the country, including indigenous descendants in Hawaii.

How would you use your office to strengthen the rights of the undocumented population and their access to their legal protections, critical public services, and quality of life?

I do not support a special pathway to citizenship for people who came here illegally and have not obtained asylum. To do otherwise would be profoundly unfair to the thousands of prospective Americans who have respected our laws and applied in accordance with the law. For recipients of the unconstitutional DACA program who were brought here as minors, I would support a pathway to Legal Permanent Resident (green card) status but not citizenship. These individuals already possess citizenship in their nation of origin and don't need citizenship in order to live and work here legally. However, they could still avail themselves of the existing avenues to US citizenship if they desire according to existing law.

Describe your understanding of the Confidential Address Program. What would be your approach to inform community members of this program?

We need to reduce temporary worker programs to increase opportunities for American workers.
